It all started when...
Tom Flynn is a Professional Photographer from Dublin, Ireland. He graduated from the National College of Art & Design with a Hons. Business Degree in Visual Communications, of which Photography formed an integral part of the course. It was there he learnt to build a pinhole camera from scratch using just a cardboard, wooden pegs, glue, sand paper, aluminium can and photographic paper. Then whilst developing his photos in the dark room with the intoxicating mix of chemicals a new passion was born.
His work has been exhibited extensively in Ireland as well as Internationally.
He cut his teeth doing Event Photography for Everleigh Garden who won Nightclub of the Year at the National Hospitality Awards the two years he shot for them (2013 & 2014) he covered a number of Celebrity PA’s and Corporate Events for the likes of American Airlines and Fujitsu during his tenure there before moving on to work for Golden Plec Music Magazine and MCD Ireland’s biggest music promoters, where he has continued to work extensively for the past 4 years shooting the likes of U2, Coldplay, Bruce Springsteen, Fleetwood Mac, Hozier, Macklemore….and so much more, he has had work featured in a host of music publications, was the Irish tour photographer for Westlife’s Shane Filan, covering all his ‘Meet & Greets’ and he has had work featured on the famous ‘wall of fame’ in Dublin’s infamous Olympia Theatre, he also covers a wide range from portraits, weddings to press whilst working freelance from his studio in Dublin.
He's the resident official photographer for MCD, Electric Picnic, Longitude Festival, Hell & Back, Press Up…
He has shot Events for Web Summit, American Airlines, Fujitsu, AIB, Cornmarket, World Street Performance…
He has shot Press Stills for St. Patrick’s Festival, Dublin Marathon, Darkness Into Light, Colour Dash…
He has shot Music Promos for Hozier, The Blizzards, Ash, Shane Filan, Ocean Colour Scene…
